Phuket top properties for sale by area
Phuket is 50 km long and 20 km wide, and can be divided into several areas by beach and cities. There are hundreds of new properties for sale all over Phuket and prices to acquire a condominium or a house, villa vary greatly upon the area. Properties in the old Phuket town or around Chalong, for example, are around half the price of the properties on the west coast by the sea.
The beaches of the west coast, including BangTao, Surin, Patong, Kamala, Karon, Kata are the most touristic and this is where you find the biggest hotel names. In the high season, this is a very crowded area. This is where the average price per sqm for condominiums and villas is the most expensive. As opposed to the cities of Cherng Talay, Chalong that are less dependent on tourism, around 30 minutes drive away from any beach and where long term residents prefer living, conveniently close to international schools, hospitals, shopping centers, and where price per sqm is more accessible.
Southern beaches of Rawai and Nai Harn are a mix of tourists and long term residents slightly baba-cool feel, with chic, healthy, vegan restaurants, cafés, yoga studios, etc while northern beaches of Nai Thon, Nai Yang and Mai Khao are a bit more isolated, surrounded by a national park and tend to become home of luxurious hotels and properties, conveniently located between 15 to 25 minutes from Phuket international airport.
